Helen writes and directs the Hull Freedom Chorus

In 2013 and 2015 Helen was commissioned to compose for and direct the Hull Freedom Chorus. In 2013 on the theme of ‘unity and freedom’ Helen wrote two big pieces for this mass choir. They were performed at a number of festivals in the city, including the Hull Arts Festival and the Hull Jazz Festival. In 2015 Helen wrote a commissioned piece entitled ‘Freedom Flame’ for the Freedom Flame commemorations in Hull in that year.
