  • Helen’s tour of the USA ’24

Helen kicked off her workshop tour in Asheville NC on 18th September, hosted by Yuri Woodstock. Yuri has been teaching Helen’s music to his choir ‘Hark’ for many years – see the video above of Helen teaching her song ‘Love Is The Power’ to an enthusiastic crowd at Homewood Castle. She extended her stay in North Carolina and led workshops at the Love Song Gathering deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

From there Helen flew to Vermont and led two workshops for the Brattleboro Womens Chorus, hosted by Becky Graber. The last stop was Annapolis where Helen ran a workshop hosted by Elizabeth Melvin. Unfortunately Helen wasn’t able to do the workshop planned for the beginning of the month in San Francisco – hopefully another time!

  • Return

Helen wrote ‘Return’ several years ago and it fast became a favourite with Glorious Chorus and other choirs around the country. A song about autumn, Return is a beautiful celebration of the natural cycle of the seasons, and how everything returns back to source before coming to life again in the spring. This superb rendition is by The Great Sea Choir led by Helen Brignall. The score is available on the Scores Page.

  • Singing with Helen this year

You can sing with Helen at her London & Devon Big Sings once a term and various day workshops, weekend retreats & camps around the country. Helen also runs her Greek singing holiday on the island of Paros every May/June, information about this can be found on the Camps/Holidays page. And in the autumn she heads off to Scotland & Germany… All her events are listed on the Upcoming Events listings at the right of this page

  • Helen’s workshop tour of the States 2024

In September ’24 Helen visited the United States to do a mini workshop tour of the east coast, responding to the many choir leaders who had bought her music over the years. This tour encompassed Asheville NC, the Love Song gathering in NC, Brattleboro VT & Annapolis, ML. She had a fabulous time! You can see more details on the Links Page.

  • Appreciation from Canada

From time to time I get sent recordings and videos from other choirs in the UK and abroad, singing songs I’ve written. They always move me, as the songs are always sung with a unique twist and reflect the personality of the singers performing them. This rendition of Unto This Land was sent to me recently by Dick Jackson who, with Cathy Baker, leads the Gettin’ Higher Choir in British Columbia in Canada. Their choir joined up with Wavelengths Community Choir, led by Denis Donnelly, to sing & record this video. Truly beautiful.
